Access to Capital

Although Synapse invests its own funds where appropriate, our primary role in attracting capital is to act as a conduit for smaller companies. We understand the requirements of investors, lenders and other capital providers. This is more than a matter of presentation but goes to the heart of a business, from setting clear strategic and financial goals and targets, to putting in place the appropriate management, marketing, sales and other functions to achieve these goals.

The relationships that we have with capital providers and our ability to position and market companies effectively can then maximise the opportunity to obtain capital on the best terms.

Our aim is not to push companies down one particular route but to assist them in accessing the best capital mix, whether that is equity, mezzanine, bank loans or grants. We can also help companies access non-bank debt funding for situations (increasingly common in the current debt climate) where a lack of capital constrains growth opportunities.
