Mark Wilsher
Mark is a Chartered Accountant and an experienced manager and entrepreneur. As an accountant, his career included periods with Deloitte & Touche and Grant Thornton. He has held a number of senior management positions with growth companies including, most recently, as CFO of NASDAQ-listed Futuremedia plc.
Mark, as a fund manager, venture capitalist and business owner, has been involved in small companies throughout his career. He has also gained international experience having lived in Bermuda for five years and the Netherlands for seven years. After working in the private office of a wealthy family, he started the London-based venture capital company, Venture Technologies, investing in early stage technology companies. Mark took a very hands on role, often becoming Chairman or President of the companies. Successes included Autonomy plc, Durlacher plc, Eckoh plc, Imago QA and many companies that were sold to large US companies including Veritas, Yahoo and Sun Microsystems.
Mark has also invested in, owned and managed his own businesses in areas as diverse as children's nurseries, web based services and property and so knows at first hand the issues involved in growing early stage companies.
